Epilogue and Outlook
摘要
Why this book? I wanted to show that, on the one hand, we as humans are entirely ordinary organisms. We interact with our environment, we acquire resources, our population grows to its (admittedly flexible) limit K (K = capacity), we compete, we cooperate (although most of the time we cooperate in order to outcompete others). And this will always be the case as long as living beings exist on Earth. The idea of the end of history (Fukuyama 1992) is therefore misguided; history and evolution always continue.
