When the dependent variable is ordinal, ordinal logistic regression is more appropriate than linear regression. We discuss estimation, interpretation, and the proportional odds assumption and its verification with the Brant test. We also discuss an alternative model for cases where the assumption is violated, with estimation and interpretation.

摘要

When the dependent variable is ordinal, ordinal logistic regression is more appropriate than linear regression. We discuss estimation, interpretation, and the proportional odds assumption and its verification with the Brant test. We also discuss an alternative model for cases where the assumption is violated, with estimation and interpretation.
