Obstacles to the German reFuels strategy
摘要
The use of synthetic fuels from renewable sources (reFuels) is an elementary building block on the way to greenhouse gas-neutral mobility. There is a broad consensus on the necessity of these fuels, but the potential prioritization of their use and the conditions under which this ramp-up should take place are part of the ongoing discussion. This paper presents a wide range of obstacles and proposes ideas for dealing with them. A distinction is made between technical barriers in the historical context of the technologies that require technical solutions, regulatory barriers that require political and social consensus and barriers that become particularly relevant during the ramp-up of industrialization and need to be addressed financially.
