摘要

As demonstrated by the findings of this dissertation, it is evident that public discourse exerts a significant influence on perceptions of gender equality: many men believe it benefits women alone and therefore not get involved. We need to understand this issue better by engaging more male individuals, re-evaluating current discourse and implementing new strategies. Simultaneously, better implementation of policies supporting female workers is required, as well as changes to the portrayal of women in TV and advertising. Furthermore, there is a need for more effective gender equality education in schools. Having more women in senior positions motivates and role models women, creating a woman-friendly labour market. The issue of gender inequality in the Korean labour market has yet to be the focus of significant scholarly attention. However, researchers can contribute to the field, especially focusing on younger generations
