Dismantling Patriarchy Through Grassroots Democracy? A Materialist-Feminist Critique
摘要
Anarchist narratives and practices have been very prevalent among left-wing students in German-speaking countries since the ‘68 movement. Today, the ‘undogmatic left’ emphasises not only the anti-hierarchical impetus, but also values such as anti-racism or feminism. This can be observed in grassroots democratic student groups at the University of Vienna. While they claim to challenge existing societal power structures, their approach paradoxically aligns with liberal narratives and libertarian, individualistic practices, thereby reproducing these very power structures.
