In this chapter, I synthesize the results from the empirical case study report towards a conceptual understanding of practices of legitimation. In the following section, I thus present the building blocks for theory advancements. In the subsequent sections, I discuss the relevance and contribution of these research results regarding theoretical and practical implications as well as methodological points of concern and present issues for further research.
