Towards a Practice of Legitimation
摘要
The presidents adapt their legitimation strategies with upcoming security situations, changes in the security environment, and the progressing norm transformation process. As the evaluation of legalization actions and justificatory rhetorical activities in Chap. 5 shows, legitimacy-seeking activities vary to a certain degree in each phase. By analyzing the phases, I reconstructed how indefinite detention was planned and prepared for, how it was implemented, which legal conflicts arose, and how finally indefinite detention was formally legalized in a new detention law.
