The research question addressed in this thesis can be considered interdisciplinary. The process-oriented perspective of business and organizational sciences is combined with engineering issues related to construction site production. It is therefore necessary to first establish a broad knowledge base that can serve as a foundation for answering the research questions. This knowledge base is developed through a structured literature review. In this way, key topics related to value creation in construction execution are initially identified. Building on this, possible methods for generating process-related data in the construction process are extracted. In order to thoroughly address the objectives of this thesis, various approaches to evaluating value creation are also identified. The results thus obtained serve to derive the research gap.
