Introduction
摘要
Conflicts of interest and expectations are a significant characteristic of globalized, networked, and complex societies. As a result, organizations are confronted with a multitude of opposing expectations, which are addressed to them by heterogeneous actors both from outside and within: companies are expected to become climate-neutral but continue to operate and expand profit-oriented, politics should implement structural change but maintain prosperity and jobs, and conflicting geopolitical interests are directed at development projects in the third world. This chapter outlines the structure along which this work approaches the question of how such contradictory phenomena can be grasped from a social science perspective, what implications they have for organizations and organizational communication, and how they are dealt with or can be dealt with.
