The Theoretical Framework of Power Purchase Agreements’ (PPAs) on the Road to Green Energy and Achieving Climate Neutrality Targets
摘要
According to the opinion given by European Commission (2022) in its Guidance to Member States on good practices to speed up permit-granting procedures for renewable energy projects and on facilitating Power Purchase Agreements, a renewable Power Purchase Agreement or a renewable Heat Purchase Agreement represents a purchase agreement between a renewable energy producer and a corporate offtaker, in which the buyer purchases a certain amount of renewable energy at a specific price for a specific period. With the purchase of energy the buyer in most cases receives also a guarantee of origin that proves that the energy is produced from a renewable energy source, on one site, and that this renewable energy is produced within EU, on the other site.
