Whether in sociology or psychology, in coaching contexts or in lecture halls: The term and the underlying concept of self-efficacy constantly confronts me. Whether it is because I am personally so strongly interested in the topic, or because it is a trend of our time, or perhaps both—it was clear from the first conception of this book that self-efficacy would find a place in it.
