While biomechanics in active vehicle safety as well as in work science focuses on ergometric (work to be performed) and dynamometric (force to be applied) aspects and their influencing factors, biomechanics in the context of passive safety deals with the mechanical resilience of the living body or body parts with the aim of analyzing the injury mechanics of accident victims and providing objective criteria for distinguishing between reversible and irreversible injuries. Biomechanics, therefore, refers to the study of the mechanical behavior of the living body or its components, i.e., static and dynamic states and processes are analytically described here. The following will illustrate the injury mechanics of organ and tissue injuries as well as fractures. This will involve discussing the anatomy of the human body and its behavior under stress.

摘要
