Nature Experience and Interest
摘要
A branch of biology education research specifically investigates the relationship between nature experiences and interest. Interest in nature is significant both for environmental learning, and as a predictor for environmental action, i.e., decisions that protect nature. Situations in which individuals encounter different natural objects and engage with them are accompanied and precisely analyzed within the scope of this research. The aim is to identify and describe in detail the characteristics and factors that influence the development of interest. The findings on the importance of nature experiences for the development of interest in nature are intended to contribute to theory formation or expansion. On the other hand, the goal of the research is to derive recommendations for educational practice from the results and to show how certain forms of nature experiences can be supported or favored in teaching contexts in order to promote interest in nature and thus make a contribution to environmental education.
