Nature Experience as a Source of Well-being—On the Relationship between Nature Experience and Health
摘要
Nature experiences can be associated with effects on the mental, physical, and social well-being of children, adolescents and adults. The relationship between nature experiences and health is well documented empirically. Positive effects can be demonstrated on physiological and psychological parameters (stress perception) and social behavior. Therapeutic and educational concepts such as forest bathing and forest therapy, Green care, garden therapy, and forest pedagogy actively incorporate nature experiences into health-promoting measures. If the school environment and school garden are designed in a diverse manner, nature experiences can also be made here, thereby exerting an influence on well-being and health. The target group of the analyses presented here on the relationship between nature experiences and health are children and adolescents, as they spend a large part of their day at school.
