The basic idea of the research work presented here is that experiences of nature are influenced, if not even favored, by the presence of natural phenomena and artifacts that can serve as occasions for symbolization. In the first phase of the survey, so-called go-along interviews were conducted with school principals and teachers on near-natural schoolgrounds, which include the place of interest through the survey on the school grounds itself. Guided interviews were conducted with two landscape planners. It turned out that the adults predominantly remain at the level of metaphors. If the adults’ experiences of nature can be spoken of as symbolizations, these usually referred to their professional role. Through the interviews, areas of the schoolyards could be named that, according to the adults, serve as occasions for symbolization for students. This needs to be confirmed in further interviews with the students themselves.

摘要
