The present ethnographic study focuses on the perspectives, experiences, and practices of teachers in relation to the language experiences and emotions of newly arrived students in international preparatory classes during the Covid-19 pandemic. It reconstructs the language, relationship, and emotional work performed by teachers in crisis situations to ensure the linguistic and social well-being of the students.
