During the coronavirus pandemic, school could only be implemented as distance learning for long phases. In this context, the support and guidance of learning by parents was particularly important, especially in primary schools. The interview study presented here investigates the question of which factors contributed to families being able to cope well with the situation and which factors proved to be particularly obstructive. The analysis of the interviews makes it clear that both familial and school factors influenced how well families got through the coronavirus crisis.
