Made Fit for the Job? On the Orientation Towards (Employment-) Work for Society and Individual Self- and External Positioning

The goal of full employment is not always congruent with the individual’s objectives in secondary school level (classes with students aged 10 to 15). Counseling from social workers processes intervene supportively and controlling in self- and external positioning. This article analyzes this discrepancy using a case sketch and professional discourses, and offers suggestions for positioning social pedagogical counseling in the tension field of individual self- and external positioning in the working society.
