This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the numerical model developed for predicting the flow field, heat transfer and the solid-liquid phase change during the mould-filling and cooling stage of the AT welding process. The developed numerical model shall be implemented in the open-source CFD toolkit OpenFOAM utilising the interFoam solver as its foundation. This solver employs the Volume of Fluid (VoF) method to capture the interface between the fluids.

摘要
