The crucial question What is a human being? has always emerged in times of deep social crisis and has become the focal point of joint consultations that, in the end, sought to answer the question: to be or not to be…The idea of the human being as an “ongoing project” is an idea with its roots going back to ancient Greece. The mainstay of Greek human projection was the ideal, which necessarily, almost organically, associated human beings with the polis—and more importantly: with the cosmos. But how does this enmesh with contemporary philosophy of education? Indeed, can contemporary education provide for the realization of this ideal? In relation to the topic of the symposium (dedicated to the crisis of reality, realities), I would like to take a closer look at the philosophical approach to the problem of reality in the present, namely from the context of cosmological philosophy. Hopefully, this approach might be useful for educationalists as well.
