Historical and Cultural Background of Arab Educational Systems
摘要
Islamic traditional education was an education system that aligns with the current European definition of education. This definition, originally formulated for mediaeval European universities, emphasises the importance of juridical validation of educational outcomes, continuity, homogeneity, and the presence of specialised teachers—all of which were integral components of traditional Islamic education. Not only did Islamic traditional education have a structured system in place, but it was also the first of its kind.
