The following chapter reconstructs the interpretation patterns and identity constructions of the interviewees from the German and American samples at the interactive and bodily-affective level of Doing Age, Doing Gender and Doing Class. This draws on the focus areas of sports activities in childhood and adolescence (see Sect. 4.1), on gym visits, body, and health (see Sect. 4.2), on the transition to ‘retirement’ and positioning towards productive and successful aging (see Sect. 4.3), and finally on the social networks of the interviewees (see Sect. 4.4). In addition to answering the research questions, the interviewees were able to set their own topics through narrative passages, which were included in the evaluation.

摘要
