In his contribution, Miklas Schulz, as a blind scientist, investigates the emergence of (non) disabled identity through autoethnographically designed reflections. Using the example of apartment hunting, he demonstrates to what extent social identity must also be considered as a result of a decision made for the situational (non-) relevance of physical dimensions. For this purpose, a critical level of reflection is added to Goffman’s stigma theory, which includes the socially effective knowledge stocks in the investigation. Thus equipped, the game of identity, its tactics and strategies can be captured in a power-critical manner, thereby emphasizing its inherent paradoxes.

摘要
