Participant Spectating, Authorship & Representation: Reflections on a Representation-critical and Ethnographic Reading of the Cybathlon 2016
摘要
In this article, stages of a representation-critical and ethnographically oriented research project on the production of meaning in the context of the Cybathlon 2016 are subjected to a reflexive problematization. The starting point for this are discussions about the production, representation, and staging of scientific authorship, as they stand, for example, at the center of the Writing Culture debate. It is shown that both the level of fundamental decisions initiating a research project and the methodological-conceptual contouring of field access and the production of results are permeated with their own ambivalences and conflict lines. Based on this, considerations on the consequences for dealing with such conflictual and ambivalent aspects and authorship, especially in terms of staging, are presented in conclusion.
