The term manufacturing form refers to the combination of manufacturing organization and arrangement of workstations for the processes to be carried out (Eversheim and Schuh 1999, pp. 9–66). The selection of a suitable manufacturing principle for a company forms the basis for technology design in production and logistics. It affects the possible product variants and production lead times. In timber construction, manufacturers of highly standardized buildings with low variance have completely different requirements than, for example, a manufacturer of individual construction projects.

摘要

The term manufacturing form refers to the combination of manufacturing organization and arrangement of workstations for the processes to be carried out (Eversheim and Schuh 1999, pp. 9–66). The selection of a suitable manufacturing principle for a company forms the basis for technology design in production and logistics. It affects the possible product variants and production lead times. In timber construction, manufacturers of highly standardized buildings with low variance have completely different requirements than, for example, a manufacturer of individual construction projects.
