The Private Sphere, Privacy, and Digitization
摘要
Recent research has warned against the potential of digitization to adversely affect the spatial institutional sphere of the private lifeworld as well as the informational privacy of individuals and groups. To gain a deeper understanding of digitization’s joined unsettling of the private sphere and privacy, the article first reconstructs their genealogical trajectories before discussing how digitization affects both types of privacy either separately, or at once.
