Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) in Relation to Occupational Hand Eczema
摘要
Health-related quality of life (HRQOL) is an important patient-reported outcome that can be used in both clinical settings and research. In this chapter, generic, dermatology-specific, and disease-specific instruments assessing HRQOL are compared and discussed. Demographic factors such as sex and age as well as disease-specific factors influencing the HRQOL outcome will be touched upon. Finally, the importance of including HRQOL instruments as outcomes in clinical trials and in clinical practice is emphasized.
