During the recent rise of wireless communication systems there has been an increase in demand for a secure, interreference free and cost-effective alternative to the existing radio frequency systems. Traditional technologies Wi-Fi and Bluetooth face issues like high power demand, signal interference and they are vulnerable to security breaches. Such problems make them less ideal for short range applications. The following article sketches the design and implementation of a secure laser based optical communication system using Arduino in order to overcome these constraints.
