Dental Management of Patients with Malignancies Related to Hemostasis
摘要
Dental management of patients with malignancies varies depending on the type of therapy and stage of treatment. Dentists need to understand the effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy on oral health, as well as the risks linked to dental procedures in these patients. The decision regarding preoperative use of systemic hemostatic agents and antibiotic prophylaxis should be based on laboratory results and made in consultation with the patient’s oncologist.
