In this article, I will provide a personal account for my development of the transcendence theory of knowledge evolution that has tried to unite the often separate disciplines of the histories of science, of technology, and of economy and to integrate them with cognitive sciences and evolutionary sciences to provide a unified account for the evolution of knowledge throughout the entire human history, which had led to my 2016 Schumpeter Prize winning book, The Great Knowledge Transcendence: The Rise of Western Science and Technology Reframed (Palgrave Macmillan).
