Since the foundation of the International Schumpeter Society (ISS) in 1986, the fields of economics of innovation, innovation studies more broadly, evolutionary Schumpeterian economics, and the analysis of economies as evolving complex systems have made tremendous progress. Furthermore, around the ISS and connected authors, a new paradigm in economic thought has emerged. This paradigm provides new insights which have been tested, applied, and are currently in diffusion throughout significant parts of the economics and business communities. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the ISS, the time is ripe for Schumpeterian economists to take stock and neatly put forward the results of the new paradigm. In this chapter, we have selected twenty laws in Schumpeterian economics as a sample of this body of work. These laws enrich the landscape of economic thinking in the twenty-first century and may engage new scholars and practitioners interested in the field. An agenda for the future is also outlined.

摘要
