Uterine leiomyomas (also known as uterine fibroids) are benign neoplasms arising from the smooth muscle fibers of the uterus. They are the most common female neoplasms. Although uterine leiomyomas are usually asymptomatic, 25% of women with these benign tumors may experience severe symptoms that require treatment. In this chapter, we cover features, classification, diagnosis, and different management options of uterine leiomyomas.
