Chlorination of Nepheline Syenites, with Waste Additives in the Presence of Reducing Agents
摘要
The paper presents the results of the study of chlorination of alumina-containing raw materials with chlorinating agents with obtaining technical alumina and other oxides included in the composition of the nepheline syenites of Turpin deposit of Tajikistan, which depends on additives chlorinating reducing agents, temperature and other technological parameters. After crushing abrasion to the size up to 0.063 mm receiving mass was added reducing agents, then carried out chlorination. The resulting mass was thoroughly mixed and pelletized. The granules were dried in a desiccator at 120 °C for 2 h. The obtained mass was subjected to chlorination with gaseous chlorine after the chlorination process, the chlorine products were collected in a measuring flask and dissolved in water. In the solution the content of aluminum, iron, potassium and sodium was determined according to the generally accepted methods sodium, iron, potassium and aluminum content in the solution. The remaining charge was placed in a thermostated reactor with a stirrer and acid leaching was carried out reactor with stirrer and acid leaching was carried out at 76–95 °C for 0.5 h. The insoluble residue was separated from the mother liquor, dried at 110 °C for 2–3 h and analyzed. The mother liquor, was also subjected to chemical analysis. The degree of recovery of technical alumina, iron oxide, potassium oxide and sodium oxide was studied as a function of temperature, coarseness of materials, duration of chlorination process, with different chlorinating reducing agents and other parameters.
