Bioethics and Artificial Intelligence
摘要
In this chapter, we present ethical reflections in general and bioethical reflections in particular on the applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of health. We present a justification for addressing the development of AI in the field of health from the perspective of bioethics and its principles. We explore some of its applications in medicine and its possible future projections. We analyze its risks and benefits, as well as other possible consequences of its application. The multiple applications of AI in medicine promise significant advances, both in the prevention and prediction of diseases and in their care and monitoring. However, these advances bring with them ethical challenges that demand attention. Bioethics has become a key tool to guarantee that the incorporation of these technologies respects fundamental principles such as human dignity, privacy, justice, and integrity in medical care. In the field of health, the development of AI should be seen as a complement that optimizes medical care, not as a substitute for the health professional.
