Summary and Conclusions
摘要
A concise review of the results of this first exploratory study of the application of AI computer techniques to porcelain decoration in the late 18th and early nineteenth centuries, focusing on the artwork of William Billingsley and comparison with several of his contemporaries. Extension of these studies to other aspects of ceramics decoration such as landscapes, gildingGilding and heraldic armorial motifs are set out and a review of some important case studies that have been highlighted in this book is undertaken, which have established a firm foundation for the incorporation of these techniques for the future more definitive attribution of artistic decoration along with stylistic opinion and historical documentary evidence.
