The paper describes the concept of OREO, a digital health platform for effective management of the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The platform’s primary goal is to reduce the disease progression by predicting exacerbation events in their early stages, enabling preventive interventions. For that purpose, the platform will introduce a novel AI-driven framework for COPD management by integrating multimodal data streams, including speech and text narratives from a self-assessment application, clinical parameters related to comorbidities, physiological measurements, and behavioral and environmental factors such as sleep, diet, stress, and air quality.
