The paper addresses the problem of improving students’ academic performance. The research presented in this paper analyzes the impact of implementing regular microtests on students’ learning outcomes. Starting in the second half of the semester, microtests were introduced into the educational process to increase student engagement and, consequently, their academic performance. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. This test was applied because the samples were dependent and the data did not conform to a normal distribution. The normality of the distribution was assessed using the Shapiro-Wilk Test. The study found that microtest interventions can improve students’ learning outcomes. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test confirmed a statistically significant improvement in academic performance. Cohen’s effect size indicates the substantial practical value of this intervention. The findings can be used by teachers and online course developers seeking to improve the effectiveness of e-learning.

摘要
