The widespread adoption of digitalization, including in physical education and sports, has diversified the focus of educational progress, altered traditional educational approaches, and improved perceptions of knowledge acquisition. Implementing a strategy to intensify the acquisition of new knowledge and skills contributes to the development of university graduates’ professionalism and increases their demand in the job market. The paper examines the use of digital technologies in students’ physical education. The inclusion of geographic information systems and augmented reality technology in the educational process of students made it possible to visualize educational information, which contributed to the formation of new competencies in the use of immersive technologies, increased motivation for physical activity, an increase in the level of physical culture of the individual and was a confirming factor in the effectiveness of the use of technologies in demand by the time in conducting additional classes in modern education.
