Software for Position Identification Used for Vision Control of a Robot Used for Material Treatment at Low Temperatures

The paper presents software for a mechatronic platform that manipulates structures before and after laser and cryogenic treatments. The system features a robotic arm for transferring samples, control systems for the arms, a laser, cryogenic equipment, and an optical thermal measurement setup. Monitoring is done with a tablet and a thermal camera as the robot moves. The tablet app processes camera images to detect the robot’s shape and dimensions, calculates the distance to targets, and automatically generates movement trajectories, sending commands to stepper motors that actuate the robot. The application also offers remote control capabilities, enhancing user safety.
