This chapter examines wearable technology’s transformative impact on modern healthcare given its capacity to facilitate personalized, patient-centered care delivery. Wearable devices represent a paradigm shift in healthcare, offering unprecedented opportunities for continuous health monitoring, enhanced patient engagement, and improved chronic disease management centered on patients’ convenience and availability. This chapter explores the classification and applications of different wearable technologies, from fitness trackers to advanced medical sensors, while analyzing their role in empowering patients, enhancing healthcare delivery, and reducing costs.
