Blockchain as a Catalyst for Transforming Higher Education in Oman
摘要
The Vision 2040 of Oman emphasizes inclusive, sustainable development with education as a national priority. Blockchain technology, relatively new in education, has garnered attention, but there’s limited research in Oman. This study addresses the gap by proposing a blockchain model for higher education institutions, focusing on the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS). The research aims to assess awareness, readiness, and behavioural intention regarding blockchain adoption among UTAS staff. Using exploratory and descriptive research designs, a quota sampling technique will be employed across UTAS branches. Data collection involves structured questionnaires and interviews. Statistical analyses, including factor analysis and multiple regression, will be conducted using SPSS. The implementation of blockchain in UTAS aims to enhance security, streamline administrative functions, and eliminate paper-based systems, aligning with Oman Vision 2040’s goals for sustainable development.
