With the increasing demands of stakeholders to ensure quality in higher education, Quality Assurance (QA) seems to have gained a significant attention as a means to secure transparency and accountability. Nations around the world have established their national agencies where quality education is set among their priorities. Oman is no different. Its higher education management system has developed with Royal Decrees from Oman Accreditation Council (OAC - 2001) to Requirements for Oman’s System of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ROSQA - 2004) to The Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation (OAAA - 2010) to culminate into nowadays The Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA Vision and Mission, 2021). The objectives set to attain include, but are not limited to, enforcing quality standards, promoting quality culture, ensuring accreditation, and helping build national capacities and capabilities.
