Systematic Literature Review on the Effect of Six Sigma on Organization Performance in Higher Education

Academic institutions globally face pressures from various changes, prompting the adoption of methodologies like Lean, and one of the lean six sigma design the Dfss to enhance operations. This paper highlights the significance of quality excellence standards in higher education, demonstrating how integrating these methodologies systematically improves quality within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). A comprehensive review of 1123 articles identified 20 studies that explore the impact of Lean Six Sigma on organizational quality performance in field of education in higher level. This paper will emphasize the role of Lean Six Sigma and Design for (DFSS) in enhancing quality. The findings provide insights and practical recommendations for HEIs aiming for improved performance and excellent quality. Additionally, the implementation of these methodologies fosters a culture of continuous improvement among faculty and staff, encouraging collaboration and innovation in educational practices. By systematically analyzing processes and eliminating waste, HEIs can optimize their resources, leading to more effective teaching and learning environments. Ultimately, embracing quality excellence standards positions institutions to better meet the evolving demands of students and stakeholders in a competitive academic landscape.
