This research investigates the potential role of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing the performance of the Kuwaiti pharmaceutical salesforce. In addition, it determines the factors affecting the AI implementation of the Kuwaiti pharmaceutical salesforce. Addressing these factors is crucial for increasing AI utilization and sales profitability. Based on the literature review and theoretical framework, a conceptual model was created to show how AI technology can promote pharmaceutical salesforce performance in Kuwait. The findings from several sources of literature review demonstrate that the vastly employed AI technologies boost pharmaceutical companies’ marketing and sales performance. Also, it was found that the main factors of a pharmaceutical salesforce that facilitate AI adoption are selling skills, recognition and commission, career development and training, role perceptions, and supervisory and management support. Based on the initial literature review findings, there is an opportunity to improve the marketing strategies that AI brings and enable pharmaceutical companies to utilize hyper-targeted marketing. All of these findings are theoretical and need to be tested empirically.
