Between Bytes and Breezes: Managing Organizational Climate in a Technology Holding Company
摘要
This chapter discusses the use of organizational climate surveys to diagnose and improve the work environment in a small technology holding company. Climate surveys involve collecting quantitative or qualitative data to capture employees’ perceptions and, subsequently, develop improvements or maintenance of processes and practices within the work context. In this teaching case, a Junior Enterprise faces the challenge of assessing organizational climate amid intense internal and external changes. The process of selecting, adapting validated quantitative instruments, and integrating qualitative data obtained through group interviews is discussed. The chapter also recommends actions following the diagnosis, including communicating the results, developing improvement plans, and monitoring the implementations. Finally, the study highlights lessons learned, emphasizing the importance of proactive, people-centered organizational climate management to ensure sustainable organizational success.
