This chapter explores the prevention of neonatal respiratory complications, with a specific focus on obstetric management strategies. It begins by examining the most prevalent respiratory conditions affecting newborns, such as respiratory distress syndrome and transient tachypnoea, alongside their associated risk factors, including preterm birth and maternal health issues. The chapter then discusses evidence-based prevention strategies, emphasising the importance of early intervention by both obstetric and neonatal teams.
