Social Implications of Digitalization

Digital technologies are penetrating more deeply into our daily lives, economy, commerce, education, and social relations. Nowadays, we are witnessing the formation of a new social reality shaped by digital technologies. The research aims to analyze the social consequences of digitalization, identifying key changes in social relations and communications. The methodological framework includes an interdisciplinary approach and theoretical analysis of scientific publications, books, and sociological research data. The authors note that the introduction of information technologies and digital platforms has significantly changed the ways of communication, interaction, and self-determination of individuals. The research highlights positive effects, such as improving the quality of life and stimulating economic growth, as well as challenges related to changing the structure of social relations and labor activity. Special attention is paid to the issues of personal identification in the digital space, where traditional forms of communication are being replaced by virtual interactions. The authors conclude that digitalization is an inevitable process, which covers more new areas of social life and affects everyone. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of an integrated approach to studying the social consequences of digitalization and developing effective tools to overcome them.
