Nigeria which is a part of Africa has man-made and natural water sources. These sources comprise of lakes, streams, rivers, and underground water sources across various regions. Bakolori, Kainji and Jebba are part of the preeminent lakes created by man, while Benue, Cross river and Niger are substantial river systems. These regime of waters are vital for providing water for industrial and domestic use, generation of electricity and agronomy. Even so, numerous difficulties exist, such as bad water control, weather changes, pollution of water, continuous dry season, and exponential growth in population. The review implies that, to totally tackle these challenges, there must be a combined effort involving various collaborators, including local communities, and adjustable elucidation should follow through to ensure a dependable and immaculate water supply for posterity.
