Enhancing Security and Privacy in Smart City Monitoring with Multi-user Encryption and Smart Contracts
摘要
In smart cities, where integrated systems constantly collect and analyze data to enhance urban efficiency, protecting sensitive content like video surveillance footage is essential. Conventional encryption techniques often fall short in balancing speed and security, particularly in real-time scenarios. Moreover, surveillance systems pose serious concerns related to data privacy, security, and ethics, as unauthorized access or manipulation of footage can erode public trust and endanger safety. To overcome these issues, this paper introduces a lightweight encryption approach that combines chaotic map based key generation with blockchain enabled smart contracts. This method effectively meets the need for both rapid processing and strong data protection, making it highly suitable for secure and privacy-conscious surveillance in smart city settings.
