The lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) examined in the study are a common problem in elderly patients and are associated with disorders in the functioning of the bladder, urethra and prostate. The article presents a Generalized Net model for assessing lower urinary tract symptoms based on seven main criteria, including PSA, residual urine volume and prostate volume. The patient’s age plays a key role in the development and progression of these symptoms. The model, developed with data from the Urology Clinic of UMBAL Burgas, supports the diagnosis and decision-making in the treatment of LUTS and the risk of prostate cancer.
